Let me start by saying that I think Hozier is brilliant. I think his songs are intelligent, soulful, and bloody catchy! My fiancee is a huge fan of his, and she is also the best cook i know. So with that in mind, i wrote an alternative version of Take Me To Church for her. She liked it and said i should put it up online so, here it is. Make Me Dessert My baby cooked tuna, It was uncooked in the middle, Despite my initial disapproval, I wished I'd tried it sooner. If her cooking ever did speak, It would shout out 'Eat me! 'Whether savoury or sweet, It's a fresh tasting treat. She's the best cook, you heard me say it. My baby offers no substitutes, Only the best food will do, The only heaven I wanna be sent to, Is one where she writes the menu. If I feel sick, Then I’ll leave it, And finish when I'm well, Aaay. Starter. Main. Dessert. (Chorus x2)Make me dessert, And I'll eat it like a frog eats a blue bottle fly, I'll shovel it in and then I'll let out a sigh, Offer me another piece of cake, And I'll say, "I’m full, but I’ll give it a try." I'm a vegan, but only sometimes, I eat meat all the time, For me to have a happy life, Animals must be sacrificed Drain the whole sea, Of all the fishies. Something meaty for the main course, Even if it’s made from horse, Lay it out on the table, Burgers, ribs and meatballs

That looks tasty, That looks plenty, This is hungry work Chorus x2) Make me dessert, And I'll eat it like a frog eats a blue bottle fly, I'll shovel it in and then I'll let out a sigh, Offer me another piece of cake, And I'll say, "I’m full, but I’ll give it a try" No cooked fruit, it’s a sin, When the eating begins, There is no sweeter substance, than rice pudding from a tin If it grows from the soil, or comes from under an animals skin, Only then will I eat it, Only then my plate is clean.

Ooh. Oh. Starter. Main. Dessert. (Chorus x2) Make me dessert, And I'll eat it like a frog eats a blue bottle fly, I'll shovel it in and then I'll let out a sigh, Offer me another piece of cake, And I'll say, "I’m full, but I’ll give it a try"
